Rites Together Wrap up 2024

The 2024  year has seen two camps for Rites Together   Both the father and son connection camp and stepping into manhood camps were both completed in a beautiful way and participants walked away with significant gifts and insights for their families and communities. Th ROP camp provided challenges and learnings for future camps and we can celebrate today the achievements of Rites Together programs and at the same time consider how we can evolve our programs to ensure what Rites Together provide remains unique and more relevant than ever in our WA community.

In our programs recognising all the leaders and in particular in the last camp having both Vida and Nadja holding the women’s program with grace and beauty and wonderfully supported by Jill and Lorraine. Thanks to Dom and Jeremy and Angus for their first camp contributions it was such a please to have both youth and experience being part of the camp. The ROP camp brought many challenges, and a thorough review and feedback process has given RT significant material to review which  will ensure  Rites Together  remaining relevant move with the time and current expectations, changes in current cohorts and generation of boys and young men and parental approaches.

The new year 2025 will give opportunity to look at marketing to those organisations identified in 2023 and we will be looking for community members to get involved in driving this approach.

Rites Together has also estalbished some links to Rites of Passage camps for mothers and daughters in the community  and is happy to refer any of those seeking this.

Much gratitude is extended to all the participants,  members and directors and other community members who have been involved in our programs this year in any way. It was profound and supportive and growth full experience learning from each other and connecting at a deep level. A special thanks goes to Allan O’Grady a founding member and Director who is stepping down after 9 years, we are grateful for all he has provided and wish him well
